Ryan Kain, Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Kain grew up on a small farm in Michigan, ice fishing and tending a large garden and livestock.  Since he could not back up a hay wagon to save his life, he was the first in his family to attend college.  He attended Georgetown College, KY, where he double-majored in biology and aquaculture.  After graduating, he designed and built one of the early tilapia farms in North America.   He also worked at a trauma 1 hospital in the med/surg  ICU’s during that time and decided to pursue his life-long interest in helping people heal as a physician. Dr. Kain attended Palmer College of Chiropractic where he participated on the Rodeo and Martial Arts teams.  He practiced in South Bend, IN, for 14 years. He enjoys helping people feel better, move better and perform better.  He has a special interest in helping people dealing with problems with their tailbone and coccyx, extremities, headaches, complex and chronic pain and “mystery cases.”

He has always dreamed of working in an integrative setting as part of a health care team all working together to help patients heal in mind, body and spirit, so he is very excited to be a part of Benewah Medical & Wellness Center.  He also has an interest in energy medicine, is a certified nutritionist, and is studying Zero Balancing therapy.   He has been married to his wife Jill for 15 years.  Dr. Kain enjoys travelling, reading, practical jokes, hiking and backpacking, shooting and traditional archery.  While he has never worked with a tribe, he is very excited to learn about the culture and history of the Coeur d’Alenes and to get to know the people.
